El IJG en el mundo

En la actualidad existen más de 25 oficinas del IJG en el mundo, y su programa de educación ambiental Roots&Shoots (Raíces y Brotes) se extiende por más de 60 países. Las oficinas del IJG son independientes pero se agrupan en la estructura del JGI Global (con sede en Londres).
  
El IJG España desarrolla programas de educación ambiental y campañas de sensibilización y fundraising en el país, al tiempo que implementa programas de investigación y conservación  de chimpancés y sus hábitats en el sur de Senegal y en Guinea. El Instituto Jane Goodall trabaja en el rescate y rehabilitación de primates, en asociación con santuarios de chimpancés en Uganda y Sudáfrica, donde diversas oficinas del IJG aportan fondos, y en la República del Congo, donde su propio Centro de Rescate de Tchimpounga, dirigido por la veterinaria española Dra. Rebeca Atencia, se ocupa de la rehabilitación de más de 140 chimpancés huérfanos.
